Love Jones

First off… my favorite “black love” move of all time. It’s not only a classic, but the storyline is like no other… two people. I’d say love at first sight? A connection neither of them can deny but they deny…. Until life factors, unspoken feelings, pride and ego gets in the way of them meaning to be…. lol. Sometimes I wonder from the movie if Nina and Darius never made end game.. when he ran after her whilst she’s in the train going to NY.. like what if she never came back. Where would their two worlds meet? Would they have ever reconciled? Dating today puts me in mind of that movie.. it’s a whole lotta pride, and ego in the dating realm. As a girl who grew up on old school love.. the girl that was born into, raised by, old school love… is it still prevalent today..?¿ It’s nothing like the movies, the books I read in grade school- college. Like is it all a lie lbvs? Or did the books and movies just made it seem so easy. I do believe In the game of Love Jones, the term, and what it means.. but even as this movie plays… when does the Love Jones become urgent???
